The Owls complete the sweep vs the Terriers to clinch a playoff spot in the North Atlantic Conference Eastern Division. The 59-36 win brings the Owls to 7-4 in the NAC as they are 4-3 in the east, while the Terriers sit 1-8 in the Division.
This low scoring game was highlighted by the Owls defense, holding the Terriers to 36 points in the game. Shooting 19.6% from the field and hitting 1-13 from the three. The Terriers were able to hold the Owls to just under 37% shooting, although it was not enough. The Owls went into halftime up 31-18, before coming out and not allowing a field goal in the third quarter, holing them to just three points. The Owls were able to cost to a win from there.
Emily Wheaton yet again led the Owls in scoring, finishing the game with 16 points on 5-9 shooting and hitting 50% of her shots from beyond the arc. Both Alexis Ireland and Kourtney West were just shy of a double-double, Ireland finishing with ten points and grabbing eight rebounds, West shot 40% from the field and scoring nine points to go with her 12 rebounds. Nine Owls finished in the scoring column, despite the low scoring finish.
