Title of Position: Director of Marketing and Communications

BARGAINING UNIT/SALARY RANGE:  MEA Administrators Unit, Level IV

RESPONSIBILITIES:  The Director of Marketing and Communications works within the department’s strategic plan to manage the College’s internal and external communications and marketing. The Director of Marketing & Communications implements the plan that advances the effectiveness of the College’s website, online and television marketing, radio and print advertising, external media efforts and internal community communications. This position is responsible for working with the department and in concert with other departments for the effective management and productions of all College publications, print materials and branding efforts.    

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field and minimum of two-five years’ work experience in marketing and public relations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  Knowledge of various publications, digital marketing, experience in design and development of publications. Experience handling diverse public. Skill at handling reporters for print, radio and tv. Ability to write and speak effectively as means of promoting the College’s events and activities both internally and externally. Ability to navigate social media as a marketing strategy. Knowledge of college PR activities, mission and current promotional materials. Ability to develop and follow a coherent and useful marketing plan.
