University of Maine at Presque Isle Arizona’s Tallia Robledo to Play for Owls

Head Women’s Basketball Coach Gavin Kane is pleased to announce that Tallia Robledo from Parker, Arizona will be attending The University of Maine at Presque Isle later this month and will be playing basketball for the Owls.
 
Robledo is a 5’7″ guard/forward who excelled at Parker High School on both the basketball and volleyball courts. Tallia was named as a 1st Team All-Region 2A West player in both 2019 and 2020, as well as the 2A West Defensive Player of the Year in 2020. Her 2020 Team won the 2A West Regionals. She was recognized as a 1st Team 3A West player in the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Tallia averaged 11.2 points per game in High School, 9 rebounds per game, along with 2.4 assists and 3.7 steals per contest.
 
“My strengths that I hope to bring to the team are that I’m aggressive, a quick learner and coachable. I enjoy a fast-paced game,” said Robledo. “Tallia gives us another incoming player who will play aggressively on the defensive end of the floor,” said Coach Kane. “She also likes to play up-tempo which will fit nicely into our style this coming season.”
 
Robledo, who will compete for the Owls Volleyball team as well, will major in Social Work. “My career aspirations include mastering in Social Work and going home to my Reservation and working with my fellow tribe members in that field,” stated the future UMPI student-athlete. “Hobbies of mine include painting, reading books, going on hikes and runs but I’ll never pass up Netflix and binge watching some movies.”
 
The UMPI Community, Women’s Basketball Team and Coaching Staff, welcome Tallia Robledo to Presque Isle, Maine.
