Census Bureau: 81.5% of people in Aroostook County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 67,272 citizens living in Aroostook County in 2021, 81.5% were old enough to vote, equating to 54,798 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 27,173 were male, constituting 49.6%, and 27,625 were female, making up 50.4%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Aroostook County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 81.2%.
