University of Maine at Presque Isle Men's Soccer Compete in Final Game of the Year

The UMPI Owls men's Soccer team competed in their final game of the season in a non-conference match up vs Rivier College, losing to the Raiders 2-1. This loss bring the Owls record to 3-10-2 on the year as they finished 3-6 in the North Atlantic Conference, narrowly missing the playoffs. The Raiders advance to 6-7-3 on the year after this victory.

The Raiders would have the edge throughout the game, leading the Owls in shots, 22 to six in the match. Although only nine of the Raider shots were on goal, they were able to score their first in the 30th minute of that game. With a one point lead going into the second half, they scored their second goal early in the second half to give them a two goal lead. Reece Carter would score his first goal of the year in the 60th minute to bring the Owls within one goal, assisted by Hayden Bay. The Raiders were able to hold on the remaining 30 minutes to earn the win.

Kobe West would spend the 90 minutes in goal for the Owls, finishing with six saves and allowing the two goals.
