Jeff Zewe, President/CEO of Northern Maine Medical Center, announced the appointment of Stephanie Gillis, MD, to Chief Medical Officer of Northern Maine Medical Center effective July 19th. In addition to assuming the Chief Medical Officer position, Dr. Gillis will continue to work in her family practice at the Medical Office Building lower level three part-time days a week. She is a graduate of Wake Forest University School of Medicine and achieved her undergraduate Biochemistry degree from North Carolina State University. Dr. Gillis is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has extensive experience in family practice medicine and previously practiced in Arden, North Carolina. She previously held the leadership positions of Regional Clinical Leader, Mission Medical Associates in Arden, North Carolina and Physician Site Leader, Vista Family Health in Arden, North Carolina.
