Sophie Saunders stopped by the police department to present a check for $230 she wanted to donate for the Special Olympics Torch Run. Chief DeLena and Officer Paradis accepted the check. We want to personally thank Sophie and recognize her for always being there as an advocate and ambassador for the Special Olympics events. Her warm smile and happy demeanor always brightens our day.
The check was mailed and delivered to the Maine Special Olympics headquarters in South Portland.
