92 percent of applicants to the University of Maine at Presque Isle were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Maine at Presque Isle, 77 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 61 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Presque Isle enrolled 1,553 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

86 percent of undergraduates are residents of Maine, and 11 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (78 percent) and Black or African American (3 percent).

The school admitted 92 percent of the 801 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 23 percent enrolled.
